Where Is the Bushcraft Course Held?

Our courses are held in various locations around the Westport area. I meet participants at a pre-given time at the Westport railway station, before the course starts.

Can I make a group booking?

I am always willing to accept group bookings on request.

Where can I park my Car?

There are car parking facilities at all of my locations, but Mac Tire Bushcraft accepts no responability for your vehicle or it's contents.

Is there an age limit?

Yes. Some of our courses are designed for adults, we do have courses for children aged 9 and above. Details of these can be found on our courses page.

Do I need to bring my own food?

If you are participating in our day courses, then yes. You can bring sandwiches etc. However if you are on one of our weekend courses, food is provided. If you have any special dietary needs please inform us when booking your course.

What Equipment should I bring?

A list of equipment you will need is found on our kit page. However all tools and cutting equipment is provided, so we ask that you leave your own axe's etc at home.

Do I need prior experience in Bushcraft?

Some of our courses are for beginners, our courses are designed for you to progess through from Birch Bark (beginner)to River Otter (advanced)

Can I bring alcohol?

This is an absolute NO! We have a strict zero tolerance of alcohol on any of our courses for safety reasons.

We ask that you do not bring your dog.

Should I bring my mobile phone?

You can bring your mobile phone, but please use them discreetly. You may have difficulty getting a signal in some of our locations.
